    Im wondering if this is a bad thing, since and dont kill me but its my first time actually giving hl2 a try and playing the game from start to finish. Im already half way through the game and im really into the cut content of hl2 but is it bad that im not playing the game the intended way for my first time?

    What would the combine millitary be composed of during the seven hour war?

    I had this thought recently, if the combine subvert humans into becoming soldiers and essentially slaves to their system, what on earth was their initial military composed of? All of the synth creatures in their military seem to be too big to effect a lot of humans, and most are moreso deployed alongside human soldiers, i.e transport synths.

    How could the combine effectively eliminate all of humanity with limited ability to traverse earth. I assume hunters are the only things even close to being able to do such a thing, and yet, theyre sparse and rare.
