    Idea regarding discussions of Gordon being made into a talking character in Half life 3

    I seen people fighting over this quite viciously with valid points on both sides if it could help story somewhat if Valve decides to make something like this happen in HalfLife 3 whenever it may come especialy due to tease at end of Half Life Alyx.

    Gordon isnt straight out implied to be mute just "of a few words". And as far as i agree about some benefits of makong Gordon talk.....him having a voice would be rather wrong for a half life game, but at the same time having him not really be able to do anything in conversations is limiting for no good reason.

    I think that perfect solution would be to make Gordon into Elder Scrolls like protagonist he does communicate with others but we cannot hear his voice as players. I would even extend it into giving people choices in conversations so they can act Freemans replies or questions how ever they like somewhat extending HL1's openess of making Gordon sane or a psychopath who kills everyone and everything scientists included.

    It wouldnt conflict with him having no voice while extending engament and ways to interact with other characters immensly like in rpg games. It could even extend into metagame in the community of doing attempts at voicing the lines these options trying to fit some voice to Gordon. And if people want him to stay mute that could be an option in conversations too. Making it even more personalized while sacrificing nothing from blank slate qualities of "mute" Gordon
