    Ladders in HL2 are easy to climb and most of you seem not to realize how easy it is.

    In the first HL, I agree with you all that the ladders suck. Besides their fiddly nature just going up and down without veering left and right, accidentally sending you off to fall do your death, they're a major bitch to get on and off of. God help you if you're trying get on a ladder to go down.

    But I've never had this same issue with ladders in HL2, and frankly it's baffling to me that so many have problems with them there.

    For one, you can get on and off them just by pressing "E". That's it. Like, are you all trying to force yourself off them by looking in another direction and trying to move off it? Because I can tell you, it's not hard to actually attach yourself to the ladder and detach yourself. I've genuinely come across people who didn't even realize that you could press "Use" on the ladders.

    There's also the fact that you don't have to worry about moving side to side on them; you go up, and you go down. So you don't have to worry about falling off the side of them.

    So no, ladders in HL2 and other Source games are not these wild and fearful things to be afraid of like in the first game. They work fine, and you guys just need to pay attention to tutorial prompts since it quite literally tells you that you can press E on them.

    I'm trying to Complete Half-Life 2 and I have 2 achievements left. One Man Army an d lambda locater. How do I get One Man Army??? everytime I quit the game it resets and I don't wanna play through 2 chapters in one sitting. so how has 27% of people have this achievement and why is this so bullshit. if you have help, please comment.

    So I got on to black mesa and for some reason there was no weapon animations. Like I'd shoot but the glock wouldn't move. Same with the crowbar. And for some reason when choosing grenade, my hand looks like it's holding the grenade, except that there's no grenade. Like gordon is holding nothing. Somebody help me fix this glitch

    Lines indicate that female citizens can join civil protection. But it appears the ones in game are male. This could be a number of reasons such as armour, augmentation and most likely, hardware limitations.

    What do you guys think? I personally think that the combine wouldn't care for things such as gender as long as they can handle combat, especially since they actively dislike breeding in humans.
