I played Half-Life: Alyx for the first time

    Posted: 03 Jul 2021 12:25 AM PDT

Hello all! I'm kind of new to Half-Life and I played Half-Life for the first time on my friend HTC Vive. (Yes, I do have an OC2 but I'm not really bothered to get Oculus Link working.) My first playtime experience was amazing, and I would be delighted to play it again! The fact that everything is interactable, unlike Oculus Quest games, is just plain cool. You can pick up almost EVERYTHING, smash bottles, inject yourself with medicine and shoot in VR. I honestly think the shooting mechanism is really cool, it's almost like I was shooting a real gun when I was shooting the zombies and "the things that hang on the roof" (I forgot their name). The only complaint I have is when Russell passes you the ammo and it tells you to put it in your backpack, you can't actually put the ammo in your backpack until you shoot the lock.

TL;DR: Played Half-Life: Alyx for the first time, and had the time of my life.

Do your prefer HL1 or Black Mesa?

    Posted: 02 Jul 2021 04:57 PM PDT

I prefer the original because the mp5 got nerfed hard in black mesa and the soldier AI is insane
