    Strange Half-Life 2 Easter Egg in TF2's Asset Pack

    So, I've recently been finishing off a long tf2 map project and I am at the stage of beautifying and decal'ing the whole damn thing, but as I was going I found a set of files under the name "Swamp Assets."

    It doesn't really suit my map in particular but I always like to poke around what packs Valve allow us to have and use by default.

    The Swamp-Themed asset pack added awhile ago now to the game, and has some neat props and texture work but interestingly there are afew neat little hints to the half-life 2 universe, such as the "Hazardous Enviroment" sign, as an obvious poke at the H.E.V suit. However the most direct one I found was this:

    A literal decal with Freeman Airboat Tours. City 17 is cancelled according to this and Borealis is touring at 10:12.

    I just found this neat, and quite amusing but interesting that valve had seen this and green-lit it to be part of the games asset packs.

    Are there any other little hints to Half-Life found like this before? I assume so but I'd love to see some like this!

    I have just realized that you use the red laser point to aim your rocket. No wonder the final boss in HL2Ep1 was so hard haha

    I finally broke down and started watching Star Trek: Discovery.

    Someone who works on the show has to be a Half-Life fan, because the Star Trek computers all sound just like the Black Mesa Monorail or Training Course computers.

    "In universe", someone in ~2250s Starfleet must have thought an ancient computer game would make a good computer sim voice.
