Hey everyone, we are the artists behind the recent fake Gordon leak on 4Chan. Apologies for messing around, we couldn't think of a more entertaining way to share it :)

We have a few reasons for faking this leak :

We love Half-Life and Valve. This fan project began before Alyx was announced and as a "closure" we needed for ourselves after playing the series countless times. We "leaked" it as we wanted to hear raw fan opinions, on how it would be judged if it were official.
The design was meant to be Gordon as he could appear in HL3, stressed but ready for what lies ahead. We tried to re-imagine Gordon in a realistic, contemporary way while staying faithful to the core design. We love what Valve did with its art style in Alyx, very pleasing on the eye. But we left our piece gritty as initially intended.
ngl we wanted Valve to notice this. We'd love to hear what the HL team might have to say about our fan art. And we'd be thrilled if we ever get a chance to visit Valve and meet them, even if just for a few minutes! Our work philosophy is heavily inspired from their handbook and we are determined and hopeful to one day work with Valve :)
To all the fans who shared their opinions, we are overwhelmed at your response. Your opinions matter to us the most! We intend to release the model for non-commercial use in anything Half-Life related!
