Posted: 18 Dec 2020 02:40 PM PST Hey there, I recently started playing Black Mesa again which, as a consequence, brought me back to HL1 for a direct comparison. I am from Germany and purchased the game on Steam about ten years ago when it was still censored, but the censorship has been lifted in 2017 and German users have been given a patch/unlock for the international version. So far so good. During my playthrough I noticed that while everything seems to be in perfectly fine order (blood enabled, gibbing enabled), whenever I gib a human, he doesn't burst into little red pieces like intended, but rather into springs, gears and screws like a robot from the censored version. Everything else is working just fine. I have the violence.cfg set up as it should be, meaning violence_hblood, ablood, hgib and agib are set to 1. Does anyone have any idea how to get this fixed? It really annoys the hell out of me. [link] [comments]

Why do combine soldiers wave in combat? Posted: 18 Dec 2020 06:01 PM PST This may sound like a dumb question but I'm quite curious about why do combine soldiers wave during combat. So if there's any some kind of lore about it, please feel free to respond to the post [link] [comments]
