    I installed the mod hoping it would work even though it's very old but it crashes on startup. It sends an error mensage that says "Platform Error: module failed to initialize". Any solutions?

    Hello! I'm new to this subreddit and i have a question that may sound stupid so apologies in advance. Back when HL:Alyx was being developed all Half Life games went free for a limited time. I played HL 1 and loved It (tho i couldn't finish It on time) but i also installed the second game. Once Alyx was lauched the games no longer were on my library so i had to buy them to play again. I bought HL 1 and now i bought what i supposely thought was HL 2. Strangely, It was called Lost Coast but i just assumed i could "turn It off" so that i could play the normal version. So, how do i play the normal one, which has iconic moments such the "pick up the can" and stuff?

    Weird Scientist Ideas For a Mod

    The Screamer: Just a regular scientist, but he is small and he has a big head. He runs around incredibly fast screaming over and over again. They work just like cockroaches.

    Crowby: An Einstein looking scientist with four arms holding crowbars. He looks extremely pissed, and he charges at you. His main attack is the crowbar combo.

    Flat-Head Matt: A normal slick looking scientist with a really squashed head, almost flat looking.

    I bet these characters would be modded into Half-life.

    Not to fight of course (unless someone did that?!) but because the one or two times in the main game, as well as in one of the other mods I played, the few seconds when one flies overhead is just such a freaking awesome experience in VR and I'd love to play other mods that give this few-second moment of bliss!
