    I've never played any of the half life games in the series and half life alyx looks really fun but when it comes to jump scares I'm terrified as I'm pretty okay with creepy scenery having played a bit of walking dead saints and sinners but I've never been one for jump scares and wouldn't wanna waste 60$ to get terrified amedeitly and never play it again. Also sry of the this is a really stupid question.

    Far Cry's 5 DLC "Lost On Mars" is a big reference to Half Life 2 and Borderlands series at the same time.

    I don't know if they intended as a reference, as a joke or if they were just lazy to create original enemies, but...

    The first "Reference" to Half Life 2 comes from the enemies itself:

    They are Exactly like AntLions, some even spit poison too.

    They are these "Insectoid" aliens that live buried in the ground for the most part, and are triggered if you walk on the sand of the planet, Therefore, to avoid them, you need to walk jumping and making parkuor through rocks and objects, Especially at the start of the game.

    The \"Queenie\"

    The "Queenie" boss makes a reference to Antlion Queen Guard. Whenever killed, she may drop a special throwable item that works very similar to the AntLions Bait you get Late into HL2's Story (Throwing will make normal enemies attack other enemies). Her Attacks patterns are almost as equal as HL2's counterparts, except she can spit a poisonous venom when you are too far away from her.

    The references to Borderlands (That I found until now) are:

    How new strong enemies are presented, in a cartoonish and overly dramatic manner.

    Hurk's new form is a very clear reference to Claptrap, with an overly-dumb annoying personality, occasionally sarcastic, constantly reminding you of his existence as a robot, needy of attention and recognition.
