    Check out "Nazi Mega Weapons" Season 2 Episode 5 on Netflix. At 23:47 there is music from Half-Life 2. Has anyone noticed this before? Where is the music in-game? I think it's Kleiner's Lab?

    If the Next Half Life Game was made with a Different Format

    Two weeks ago I made a post on this sub about how a Battlefield eqse Half Life game (https://www.reddit.com/r/HalfLife/comments/dlrbnk/what_about_a_battlefieldeqse_half_life_game/) would be received by the HL community. The people who responded were mostly positive with a couple asking questions. While I would love to make a post on how I would make an entire game like that in the franchise, answering their questions, I know some of it would probably be controversial. No one said this but I'm pretty sure everyone was thinking this; "Why a Battlefield format and not an old-fashioned one?" The answer is that the "Carry 5-10 weapons at once while strafing enemy fire" style of game is very unpopular. That's not to say it's nonexistent; the rebooted DOOM franchise and Quake Champions are big games that still do well with that style of gameplay. But remember; that's only 2 games in the myriad of standard 2 weapon FPS shooters nowadays. While DOOM and Quake: C are great games, I always thought the multiplayer on them was too chaotic even for me, a fairly good gamer. After playing the campaign for Black Mesa and HL2, I can see why people like this style of game. But for most gamers, this style of playing isn't the norm. I get that some companies are successful in the industry due to how their games are played differently, but at other times it's really good to follow trends, but not all of them. This post alone might be controversial, but I'm just suggesting this idea if Valve decides to make another game or let some other studio handle the creation of it.

    Just finished the whole series for the first time

    I just finished episode 2 and I have to say, its amazing.

    When I first went to play HL1 I thought It would be an old game that I wouldn't get but was really good on its time. Boy was I wrong. It rapidly became one of my favorite games ever. Then I played HL2 wich grabbed everything from the first game and made it even better. Then the episodes wich while short were also amazing. Especially the last fight in ep2, it just feels so big and important.

    So... what now? (I still have to play blue shift and opposing force) If I recall correct, the official witer leaked the rest of the story here, right? Im thinking of not reading it yet. I know that HL3 is probably not gonna happen but there is project borealis and some other stuff right? Should I wait for it? If so I probably will play some mods in the meantime (I noticed the list in the sidebar). By the way, are the deatmaches still played? A deatmach with the gravity gun looks hella fun.
