    Crazy to See This Subreddit Alive Again After the Alyx Announcement

    I've been a lurker for several years now and just joined maybe after the Epistle 3 blog post. Crazy how one simple announcement from Valve can make this subreddit fill with new stuff everyday. I'm happy to see new posts of people replaying the entire series again.

    Back then this subreddit was just filled with posts of the yearly possible HL3 announcements from E3. Other times there will be posts about redditors pretending to have inside informations about HL3. There was also a time where this was filled with a lot of HL3 memes. VNN posts. Or that time when the Epistle 3 blog post happened and there was just this sudden talks of modders joining together to make HL3 instead.

    Now, everyone is just enjoying the time we're on right now. Replaying the games in preparation for the next Half-Life game from Valve.

    4465 days. That's how many days since episode 2's release until today.

    If someone told you that you'd be saving 80 cents to a dollar a day before the next half life, you'd say either one of 2 things.

    1. The game's not worth that money.

    2. You mean I get to keep both my kidneys?

    If you've waited for it this long, it would have paid for itself in years waited. This isn't the half life we asked for because it's not a half life sequel. It's a valve sequel.

    Can I run HL1 or Black Mesa on an early 2015 MacBook Pro?

    I was watching Freeman's Mind on YouTube again, and I wanted to get back into the nostalgia of playing this game again. Would my 5 year old Mac be able to run it properly without lagging or overheating? I know Black Mesa isn't a Valve-owned property, but if anyone has any insight into whether or not it would work, that'd be awesome!
