    Half-Life: 1 and its expansions have names that directly link to physics.

    Mod idea for devs

    Hey, I have had this idea for a while, and now want to get it out there. I was thinking of a mod where you go through the full cycle of a combine, from citizen to cp to elite. It would be quite cool for a long mod that goes in detail for the life of a combine.

    Overwatch is the Key to the Combine's downfall?

    Overwatch - that's the lady announcer that we hear throughout the games - telling civilians to go to inspections postions, permanent off-world relocation, saying when something is hacked or offline. Is she just a background character, or could she be much more involved with the storyline?

    I know theories go around with people saying that she's a copy of GLaDOS' A.I. used to their own benefits - maybe, maybe not, but I do believe that she's a very important asset to Combine operations on Earth. If something were to happen to her, could it put the entire organization in complete disarray?

    Think VEGA from Doom - a single A.I. that runs everything in UAC Mars, and he's housed in the Arctic regions of Mars. It made me believe that if the Combine were to really hide her away from humanity, could the place that houses her A.I. be in the Arctic too, close to the Boreals and where Mossman is?

    If she's there, her base would probably be MUCH MORE secure than the Citadel and Nova Prospekt COMBINED (pun-intended). I think that'd be a good way to recycle the old Weather Control battle from HL2 Beta - which was implied that the base was heavily secure, only replacing Weather Control with, let's call it 'Overwatch Central'.

    So by the unlikely odds we get HL3, could this scenario happen? Could the Overwatch be destroyed and completely mess up Combine operations on Earth, or maybe even reprogram her to get the Combines on the side of the Rebels? Depending on if the Combines think independently or that she controls their thoughts.

    What do you dudes and dudets think of this?
