    The Gman is the real protagonist of the Half Life franchise

    Going off of the theory that HL:A is the product of Gman going back in time, after seeing Gordon's 'unwillingness' to cooperate with him, it is clear that HL:A is not a prequel to 2, but rather a sequel to the episodes. This means you follow Gman's actions chronologically if you play the games in order of release. Everything you do is just a product of Gman's actions and struggles, so when you think about it Half Life is really based more around Gman than the story of Gordon or Alyx.
