    Is GMan doing Alyx's request without her knowing?

    This is just me spitballing here but I watched the ending to Alyx again and I noticed a few things with Gman's talk. Now I know we still don't entirely know who Gman (which that's not really his name outside of his file name in the half life 1 files) or his employers are but I thought it was interesting that Gman possibly goes against some of his employers wishes. And that he also possibly is still taking Alyx's request to get the combine off Earth somehow.

    The only thing I have going on this possible theory is that when you watch Gman become released from his prison he starts having multiples of him coming out of...well him. Possibly showing that he's spreading himself to certain locations all at once. But when talking to Alyx asking what she would like for freeing him and she asks him to remove the Combine from Earth I noticed this is the last time you see him subtly create another one of him to leave his body. Then he doesn't do it again for the rest of the cutscene. Even though he says it's a relatively large nudge and offers her something else is he still attempting to try something else in the background? Or was this something he was always aware was going to be set in motion and just decided to "hire" Alyx with some coercion.

    Perhaps Alyx releasing him is what sets the moments for Gman to release Gordon Freeman in HL2. Obviously Gman can depict what's going to happen in the future (and possibly the past but I'm not sure if he's able to go back in time either even with the Alyx game) so I'm wondering if he knew this was the right time to release Gordon and/or he was stuck in the prison long enough to not be able to release him. But the way he was waiting in the prison, positioned like he was in a hospital waiting room waiting for Alyx, possibly suggests he knew he was going to be released at some point. And was he actually locked in the prison by being caught or knowing it was going to happen? But then again he didn't predict the vorteguants would show up in HL2 episode 1.

    That's just my thoughts, I don't know what do you guys think?
