    Full Half Life Bundle? What games should I play?

    I just bought a valve index, so I have half life alyx for free. I've been meaning to get into the half life games, and now if I want to play Alyx I have to, right? Anyway's, I guess i'm broke now lol, so what games should I play? I've heard HL1, HL2, HL E1, and HL E2, but the only bundle I could find them all in includes some games I don't want. The orange box is a thing, so I was thinking I could buy HL1 and get the rest in the orange box, but I already own Portal, when I checkout will the price of Portal be deducted, or will I have another copy that I need to give to a friend? I just want those games, what's the cheapest way to do it since I spent most of my money on an index? Do I need to play all of those games anyway? I know I probably don't have to, but I do want to get the full half life experience, as you say.

    Since mid January I've been unable to go more than a week without dreaming about Half Life. Last night I dreamt about two-shotting civil protection with the 9mm pistol and that I could unlock blue shift and opposing force in HL1 by going in some vents in the control room in We've Got Hostiles. Additionally, for some reason I can always remember the marine with the burgundy beret in every single half life dream I have. Odd.

    Why was the design of the Sector C lobby retconned for Half-Life 2: Episode 2's G-Man speech? I can understand updating the textures and models, but why was the entire design of the room revamped?
