    Why did the G-Man wait for Kleiner's teleporter?

    In Half-Life 2 G-Man frees Gordon from stasis on the day that Kleiner finally completes his teleporter. Clearly this is what G-Man felt was needed for Gordon to be successful in defeating the Combine, telling him "all the effort in the world would have gone to waste until [today]." The major role the teleporter eventually plays is the destruction of Nova Prospect, which starts the Uprising. (although arguably Kleiner's teleporter was not necessary for the teleporter malfunction in NP)

    My question is - is the G-Man omniscient and knew that Gordon and Alyx would destroy NP, or did he just think the teleporter would allow the Resistance to increase their numbers enough to defeat the Combine?

    Stayed Spoiler-Free for a Full Year and Finally Beat Alyx! Blown Away!

    *SPOILERS*

    I was lacking a powerful enough PC for a long time, but after Alyx got announced, I bought and played through all the Half-Life games on my shitty laptop for the first time to prepare, and now with a decent PC and airlink just releasing for the Quest 2, I was finally able to play and finish Alyx just a few minutes ago, essentially spoiler free... and holy hell, what an experience. That ending gave me chills, like I have actual goosebumps. The return to the end of Episode 2 was so incredible, and taking the crowbar from Eli just makes me so hyped to see what comes next... in another 15 or so years. Still very excited, so thanks for listening
