    At the end of Half-Life: Alyx, G-Man reveals that he has been waiting for someone to replace Gordon due to the fact that he was unwilling to accomplish his tasks, and takes a considerable interest in Alyx Vance, only freeing him after he hires her, which leads me to this conclusion:

    Gordon was never the "chosen one" to G-man. His only true purpose was to 1. prevent Eli's death by whatever the combine try to do to him in HL2 and 2. bring Alyx safely to the moment her father was meant to die throughout the episodes so that G-man could fulfill the terms of his agreement and pluck Alyx out of the room.

    So I just finished Opposing Force and noticed something I've never noticed before, the Gman has a symbol on his briefcase. It looks like the Black Mesa symbol, ive never noticed this in any other games, any reason it's in this one? What does it mean for the Gmans identity?
