    -the vortigant are slaves to those giant mega mind-looking things? And did Freeman destroy the portal to earth?

    -what was that thing that caused the resonance cascade, and where did they get it?

    I'm currently getting into the series for the first time (I know I'm late, sue me) and I'm currently done with HL1, and want to learn more of the story. Should I play opposing forces? Or are there any other mods I should play before Alyx and HL2

    The ending had my jaw drop i wasn't expecting the gman to be the prisoner i honestly thought they were just gonna save Gordon and that was that but when the gman came out and he brought back Eli from the dead that was just the coolest experience left me with so many emotions especially in the vault with the different rooms and just experiencing that was so cool. hats off to valve for making my favorite game of all time i would say.
