    Why the hunters are the most terrifying abominations in all of the HL games

    Let's start out with the first time the hunter appears in the game. The player is crawling about in that little shed when they hear footsteps, and Alyx exclaims that they are being stalked by something. The player doesn't know what it is, since we haven't met anything that displays this stalking hunting behavior so far. They're thinking maybe it's a combine soldier or a headcrab zombie, or maybe even Dog if they're lucky. They crawl out through that little space under the floor to meet Alyx, and face off this unknown threat together, but when they're about halfway through the crawl space, they hear Alyx shouting your name, and look up to see some alien abomination pouncing on Alyx, and just when they're about to reach the end of the tunnel to help out their ill-fated friend, the thing kicks the wall of the building, sending rubble crashing down on your head. The player notices their movement speed is reduced to a crawl as they watch the thing toying with your helpless companion for a few seconds, until it grows bored. The thing fucking stabs her in the back leaving her crippled and dying. The player thinks about what they just saw as the abomination vacates with its unusual oblong tripod legs. It's fucking soulless dead eyes, it's hunting behavior; the way it's plays with Alyx before brutally plunging its knife limbs into her back. This is what makes this thing terrifying.

    So me and my gf had an idea for an absolutely perfect half life 2 mod...

    replace the sound for fast zombies running with that one cartoon running sound effect

    i have no idea how to mod so if someone can link me a rundown on how to do this type of stuff thatd be rad

    or if this idea is already a thing please link that, cause i cant find anything like this.

    HL2B chapter 3

    We make it to the base it is a cave combine Corpses everywhere one of the rebel start talking. "Alyx, Barney, This guy well we were attacked we are low on ammo so help please we need it before the soldiers come we have a mp5 and ammo." We prepared when the top of the cave blew up and the soldiers shot down then more came in the entrance they were smart. Well after a little bit we had to fall back turning on turrets they chatter and the turrets blew up we took carts down. To the lower level before going to a exit we made it out. Or I thought so when the helicopter came around the corner trying to make a cave in for a guaranteed kill we managed to escape but need a new way out. We thought we were safe but more came to kill us they were relentless to kill us. As we retreated they kept blocking exits then we were cornered. As we stand only 5 of us when a hole opens up as rebels killed a lot of soldiers. They retreated as a man hurry up and get in we were going down when I realized that they were combine with lambda symbols on them. The leader of them spoke up "Hello you can call me captain Vance that's all you need to know about me I'm going to take you to the second safest place I know you might be safe after all." He laughed when the drill made it to the destination a town with loads of combine technology there is a garage door that said ravenholm on it in the corner a civilization "welcome to Black Mesa East the second safest place I know although it's a little less safe how we dug a hole in it our forces can handle them though" captain Vance says while inspecting the hole. Alyx Vance approached him and asked him a question he accepted and Alex approached me " come on Gordon I'll show you the gravity gun you're the most qualified here the last guy's dead." She led me into a room with a sign saying beware of dog and gave me the gravity gun we tested it before we were attacked again. They combine sent head crabs at us guessing that they lost a lot of soldiers Alex was going for Captain Vance when the ceiling caved and blocking us both I was confused where to go and headcrabs are attacking me. Soon full-blown zombies from the hole and a giant metal machine attacked them dog then opened up the room to Raven home sending me down he was looking for Alex Vance Gordon didn't realize it but I was at the entrance of Raven home looking down at him when he know this to me I went inside let this test to be a good one. " is Gordon Freeman dead yet I don't have all day" the conduct said looking at his assistance of female assassin she Shrugged. He was about to yell at her when he got a call it was the administrators they stared at him " I presume you have this problem done" they told him telepathically " we don't know yet" " well you better figure it out we can only spend so much resources deal with one man we gave you so much power and if you can't deal with a scientist with a crowbar we're very disappointed of you." " CPR sob story to yourself why are you bothering me you have four generals not to mention a medium sized Army of combine soldiers and one attack helicopter doesn't mean much when he has a resistance to hide behind." " I hope you know how annoying you are and we hired you to deal with the threats you should have allowed the resistance to get out of hand if you wanted to deal with someone important the generals run a certain business on Earth they benefit you don't bring them into this mess just because they have a full head of hair and an IQ bigger than yours. Doesn't mean they have to be in this mess sometimes I wish I hired Breen he was never as annoying as you." " I thought we were supposed to be attacking Gordon Freeman not ourselves." " You should be asking that question not me fine we will give you one alien assassin at your disposal. There are very powerful you know they can do and if this Freeman proves to be a bigger threat then I will consider giving you more powerful soldiers until then you should prove your worth." He hung up I stared and then realized those words they mean so much sense "cancel my appointment I'm going to take their advice and turn myself into an Unstoppable synth." The female assassin nods and leaves the room working on a tablet to cancel his appointment as he makes his way and stared out the window.

    So I'm finally getting in the meat of this story hope you enjoyed lots of action it's supposed to symbolize at the combine mean business compared to the cannon combine but constructive criticism would be nice. Anyways maybe you'll find enjoyment out of this maybe you won't I'm just here to entertain and I understand some people are concerned I'm not Karma farming I have one Karma out of all three of these chapters this chapter might gain more or the previous chapters making more or less I don't know yet but no I'm not, farming I'm here to entertain bored as f*** people of Reddit.
