Sad G-man looking outside the window

I made a song inspired by the Half-Life universe, let me know what you think.

Bryan Cranston wouldn't make a good Gordon Freeman, he'd make a good Gman

    Posted: 25 Mar 2021 09:54 PM PDT

I want to preface this by saying I don't think a half life movie or show ever will (or should) exist. It'd most likely be bad. This is just a response to people who keep fancasting bryan cranston as gordon for some reason.

IF Gman were EVER to be in live action, Bryan Cranston would be the best choice, and I don't know why so few people have thought of this before. I get why he's fan-casted as gordon, he had a goatee in breaking bad, but that's about it.

He'd just be much better as gman. He doesn't look or sound exactly like him, but is that even a bad thing? Wouldn't it be better for him to do his own thing in live action instead of being a carbon copy? Aside from that, his voice is equally as gravelly as mike shapiro's, plus he's looked 40 for 20 years (look at him in the x files episode "drive"), the man barely ages.

If you're not convinced, just imagine Gman's "heart to heart" monologue in his voice, with the same awkward pauses and stutters.

Again, this isn't really to say a movie would be a good idea at all, I just find it odd that people still say he should play gordon while barely anyone has said he should play gman.

Who is your favorite cut HL2 character?

    Posted: 25 Mar 2021 12:38 PM PDT

So I've just found strange books in the attic. Is this worth anything?

Can anyone help me find this HL2 mod?

    Posted: 25 Mar 2021 10:17 PM PDT

Hello, I was wondering if anyone could help me. I'm looking for an old Half-Life 2 mod. From what I remember, you answer a phone booth and then this vortigaunt teleports you to a mountainside castle and you have to escape it. There's a section where you try to scale the castle from the outside.

If anyone remembers something or can help me find it, it would be much appreciated

So, whos side is the gman on exactly???

I remember at the end of half life alyx, he said that wouldn't go well with his "employers" when Alyx said she wanted the combine off earth. Does this mean he's with the combine? If so why does he help gordon rather than kill him? Does he just have a sadistic pleasure in giving the resistance hope so that he can crush it after? And if he really is employed by the combine why doesn't he just take over? Assuming the advisors are the highest rank in the combine, he's more powerful than them for sure. And not to mention the fact that he was indirectly responsible for the black mesa incident. Am I missing something, or am I supposed to be this confused?

How does Kleiner possess the HEV Suit?

    Posted: 25 Mar 2021 04:42 PM PDT

At the end of Half-Life: 1 we're told "As for the suit, I think you've earned it" right before Gordon is put into stasis.

For me, it implied that the suit was with Gordon for all of the twenty years. But when we begin playing Half-Life: 2 the suit seems to have been with Dr. Kleiner for a considerable amount of time, as he's made additions and certain changes to the suit in the time that's passed.

If we're to assume the suit was removed when we entered stasis, how did Kleiner find the suit? And why would he keep it for decades just to return it to Freeman?

Please share your knowledge or theories, because I'd love to hear what the community thinks about this.
