I'd think he would think, "What's this?" then touch it to see what it does. Pretty sure the insides of that thing are slimy... so he may or may not throw up.

Bonus: What do you imagine Shephard's reaction to equipping the shock roach, spore launcher or barnacle?

Both questions were inspired by watching Freeman's Mind and Shephard's Mind.

My question is "Who would voice Gordon in-game if he had a dialogue?". I understand that the purpose of Gordon not having a speaking role is to make the game more immersive and to make the player feel like Gordon and that everything you say could be interpreted as everything Gordon says, but it's something that struck me as interesting. What actor would actually play the role of Gordon if he were to actually be voiced?

Seemingly random sequences of JUMP!, GLIDE! and LAND! get printed to the console in some maps. I'm really curious as to what this means. After searching Google, the only relevant thing that came up was on the hl2-beta.ru forums where it was used in the context of some kind of in-joke. Is anyone here familiar with its significance?

Half-Life and Quantum Physics

Anyone else appreciate how this series (especially Half Life 1) incorporates it more than most other shooters?

A good example is some of the chapter names and general aesthetic. Hell even the titles of the games like "Blue Shift" or "Decay". Or even the weapons like the Gluon Gun or Tau Cannon.

Plus Gordan himself is a physicist.
