    It appears Valve will not be showing Half-Life: Alyx at The Game Awards tonight:

    We don't know what it is, but both Valve and Geoff Keighly have said "something" will be shown tonight featuring Half-Life Alyx. I'm expecting a trailer.

    edit: Also apparently if you watch it through Steam you can win an Index, so there's that.

    The official Gmod twitter has been active lately. Possibly leading up to their new game.

    Does anyone remember a year or two ago when they announced S&box, the spiritual successor to Gmod on Unreal Engine 4? What are they going to do now that we know Source 2 is going to be moddable in the future? Are they going to stick with S&box and let someone else make a massively successful sandbox game on Source 2?

    Yunno in post-apocalyptic games, there's ALWAYS a group of people who only look after their own, so they rob and kill anyone and loot them just to survive. Bandits would not only be be aggressive towards the Combines, but they'd be aggressive towards the Resistance too, only believing in survival of the fittest!

    Of course the only Bandits out there would be ones who can really take care of themselves. If there's no Combines, then there's Xenians they need to protect themselves from.

    The only reason why they didn't appear in the HL universe yet is that they don't serve a purpose in the story, at least not yet. But would you think this universe would have bandits out in the remains of the Earth outskirts?

    Can we talk about the sound design in the Half-Life: Alyx trailer?

    Did you guys hear how high fidelity all the sounds were? The first thing that caught my ear was the pistol loading sounds. So fucking crisp, clean, and satisfying. Not only is this game going to be the best VR experience (it has to be, right?), the sound design is going to leave such a lasting impression, i can already tell.

    If you dont understand what im talking about, make sure you have some decent headphones, and LISTEN to the trailer with your eyes closed. It sounds fantastic.
